Ultimate Tube Power!

   The Rocktron Velocity Valve power amp is a 160Watts rack mounted tube amp designed by Egnater. Its minimal clean preamp is powered by 3 X 12AX7A preamp tubes, a buffer plus two phase inverters. The mighty power section warms up the room with 8 X 5881 power tubes!
  It's a stereo amp with two independent channels. Each channel has volume, presence and density(bass) controls and can deliver up to 80Watts rms to a 4-8-16Ohm speaker cab.
  This power amp came in with a few noise issues. There was one leaky power capacitor and the power tubes were a mixture of 6L6 and EL34, JJ and ENGLs... All these tubes had to be replaced with the proper 5881 ones. So we placed an order with banzai-music.de and a month later (...) the new tubes came in. We decided to go for a matched set of Sovtek power tubes and three JJ/Tesla 12ax7s.
 For the finale, the power section was properly biased to make up for the new set of tubes and it's now singing again!
