This electric "RR"-shaped guitar was spotted in the UK a few years back. These guitars were made for a company based in London. The original features of the guitar were not that great but the starting price was right. The company leveled and polished the frets of this new guitar so that there is no fret buzzing in the future. Once I got the guitar I set it up using a set of 0,09" strings and the neck was pretty playable. The stock pickups were quite weak though and I wanted something with more output and character. I had a set of Korean made Epiphone LP-custom AlNiCo pickups and pots laying around so we installed them on the guitar. The result was pretty good compared to the original electronics and the guitar was looking much better with the chrome pickup covers on.
Then, we replaced the stock no-name tremolo for a brand new floyd rose licenced one, worth ~50gbp . The stock tremolo was locked but this floyd assembly was properly installed on the guitar in a floating position. The locking nut was also replaced with a brand new one. The performance of the guitar was becoming better and better with every upgrade and that was our goal. For some final touches, we installed a new set of strap buttons on the body and cleaned up the guitar thoroughly. After spending cash and lots of time on this guitar, the result came out really good.
Here are the specs of this guitar now:
-Canadian maple neck with Indian rosewood fretboard, 22 medium frets, no fretboard overhang
-Reverse headstock with matching left hand closed type tuners,
-New floyd licenced locking nut and tremolo assembly, new "crown" shaped truss rod cover,
-RR shaped solid body with recessed floyd rose routing,
-New tremolo springs and clamp, new strap buttons,
-Epiphone MIK AlNiCo humbucker pickups, 500K pots (vol. and tone) plus a 3-way p/u selector,
-RR triangle pickguard, chrome metallic dome knobs
And here are a few pictures of the actual guitar:
