Here's a beautiful guitar a friend brought in a few weeks ago. It's a Charvel USA "San Dimas Style 2" guitar with two Seymour Duncan humbuckers and a maple fretboard. This model looks like a telecaster with a stratocaster neck bolted on it but that's hardly the case. The thin neck is way more playable than a standard chunky US strat neck and the tone is fatter and sweeter (more mids & low end). The guitar has a good weight distribution with no hang issues and the body is fat enough, maybe a bit fatter than a telecaster. Not to mention the original floyd rose tremolo which is really smooth with great tuning stability.
The only issue this guitar had was a worn out pickup selector. Its quality is superb but most electronics such as pots and pickup selectors tend to act up after years of use. The old style pickup selector was replaced by a Korean-made closed type one. These closed type switches are usually a bit larger than the stock gibson style selectors but their contacts are protected against dust/particles(wood chips, paint dust etc) and humidity. Be careful when buying one of these off of eBay though, there are many fakes out there. At first, I used a switch that was lated found to be defective from the factory, which was pretty disappointing... Turned out it was a Chinese copy/fake.
Then, I got my hands on a Korean switch from "JA (allparts)" that worked really good: https://www.allparts.com/EP-4366-000-Korean-Toggle-Switch_p_1407.html . Its threaded shaft has a 12mm diameter and it's 11mm tall. Always measure these dimensions when replacing a toggle switch as you don't want any last minute "surprises".
Cheers,
Thanos

Here's a guitar clinic demo of the Charvel San Dimas 2H tele by Mr. Tilen S (rights to Tilen Sapac). Enjoy!
