80s guitar restoration!

Here's a new project!
This Yamaha RGX-112 model was made in Taiwan on December 5th 1989, according to the "guitar dater project". Its specs are:  H-S-S pickup configuration, vintage style tremolo, 24fret maple neck(painted black), white basswood superstrat style body, 5-way selector, volume and tone controls.
It was for sale (used). The owner sent me some high-resolution pics and to my surprise, the body and neck were perfect! Not even a dent or a scratch. Also, the guitar was 21years old and all the parts were original! What was all rusty and dirty was the hardware... The frets were also rusty and uneven. Nothing I couldn't fix! So I bought it and began working on it right away!
The machine heads were tightened, the frets were levelled , then polished and all the hardware and screws have had a vinegar bath. Soaking the harware in vinegar makes removing all that rust a lot easier.
The guitar was finally reassembled and set up with 0.10 gauge strings. The sound of the stock humbucker is great. It produces a hot output rich in harmonics that can easily overdrive most high gain amps. It 's suitable for blues, rock and metal! The mid and neck singlecoil pickups are a bit vintage voiced and they 're suitable for cleaner tones.
Here are some photos a this 21-year-old, all original rock guitar!
