Here a sem-hollow electric guitar made by Epiphone. It's the "dot" model finished in satin colors and equipped with black hardware.

This guitar was bought new but it had a few minor issues that had to be taken care of. There was a dead note on the fretboard and the setup was not set right. The action was sky high and the intonation was all over the place. I leveled the frets a bit to make up for the dead notes. Once the frets were leveled, the fretboard was cleaned and oiled. The next step was to tighten up the grover tuners and hardware. As for the electronics, the stock pickups are okay for bluesy type tones but they lack a bit of attack and output. We thought about replacing the bridge pickup for a hotter one. I decided to replace the AlNiCo magnetic bar of the bridge pickup with a more powerful ceramic one. The bar was replaced and the pickup got re-waxed for feedback free operation. Once I placed the pickup back and re soldered it, I set the guitar up with a set of 0,09" strings.
