This bass is pretty old and it wasn't well-preserved. It was sitting in a closet for decades with two broken strings on. Therefore, it had quite a few issues. The neck was a bit warped and there were dead notes all over the fretboard. The electronics were noisy and had seen better days. The hardware had signs of rust but nothing terrible.
I disassembled the bass to examine everything. The body is made of plywood and it's pretty heavy. The finish had suffered only minor damage but the neck was in a pretty bad condition. I leveled the frets and cleaned the fretboard. Then, the dry rosewood board was conditioned with lemon oil. The truss rod was adjusted and the nut was filed and lubricated. The electronics were re solder and sprayed with contact cleaner. New pads were placed under the single coil pickups to allow for better height adjustment. The bass was put together and set up properly with coated strings. This old bass came back to life and it's ready to play better than ever before!
